Maria Simeone is a veteran education consultant and mediator, with a successful career in dispute resolution in New York, particularly across Long Island. Experienced in Mediation and Arbitration, she has consulted for clients in the areas of Agriculture, Construction, Custody and Visitation, General Education, Special Education – Early Intervention and School Age, Adult Services for the Disabled, Veterans Services, Elder Care/Guardianship, and Lemon Law Arbitration.
Maria routinely conducts group presentations and facilitations throughout local Town and County facilities including the Suffolk County Police Department and Academy, the Family Service League, the Long Island Parenting Center, the Town of Brookhaven-Youth Bureau, and Town of Islip Senior Centers. Additionally, she has facilitated discussions and continuing education workshops for the LIDRC Volunteer Mediators to ensure quality mediation standards across Long Island. Maria is a former member of the LIDRC Advisory Council, where she worked to promote and expand the LIDRC program.
Prior to working in the world of education and mediation, Maria worked for a large non-profit for education and training in NYC, then spent a decade as a Criminal/Research Investigator for Fortune 500 companies at a large Long Island based security company.
