Charles “Chuck” Buynak – Senior Construction Associate

Chuck Buynak is a veteran of the NYC construction industry.  With  38 years experience working on major commercial, mixed-use and residential projects, both new buildings and major alterations.  Chuck specializes in the area of commercial and industrial electric systems, i.e.: Lutron lighting systems design, installation and renovation; fire alarm system installation, and other areas of commercial construction.

At Cahill, Chuck is a liaison with regulatory agencies i.e.:  NYC Department of Building (DOB), NYC Department of Transportation (DOT),  NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), FDNY, OSHA and the Environmental Control Board (Oath/ECB).  In addition, he has significant experience expediting gas and electric installations with ConEd and National Grid.

NYC DOB Publishes Comprehensive Multiyear Safety Report

The Department of Buildings (DOB) announced today the release of a new building construction safety report that provides deep insights on construction safety trends in the five boroughs over the 2019 and 2020 calendar years and examines Department initiatives that led to declines in building construction-related incidents and injuries during that time.
