On this World Autism Awareness Day, we honor those who work to make life better for those with autism, proving anything is possible.  Nothing supports these heroic pursuits quite like understanding. With a disorder that affects 1 in 68 children, understanding is paramount to making lives better for these very special people.  Today’s NY Daily News is a great place to start with very important facts from leading autism awareness organizations.  You can also read more about World Autism Awareness Day at the United Nations website where this year’s theme is “Toward Autonomy and Self-Determination”.

To the scientists, researchers, activists and especially loved ones who work so hard on behalf of those with autism, we’re honored to be in your company.
