The Rinaldi Group is building the biggest modular-construction hotel project ever built in NYC, using an innovative construction method known as modular construction. The modular way of building, not yet common in NYC, allows for quicker construction, saving time, and limiting disruption to the neighborhood. While the cost of the modular construction method is comparable to the costs of traditional construction, the benefits brought by the limited disruption to traffic flow, fewer deliveries of materials to the job site, and less of an imposition on the neighborhood are tremendous.
Installation of the modular units began in late November and is expected to take three to four months, save from the traditional six to nine months traditional methods would have taken.
