As Senior Vice President, Timothy Hurley navigates a broad spectrum of media promotion for our clients and our firm. A veteran broadcast television producer, video director, website designer, and social media campaign manager, Tim has extensive practical experience in using different media channels for issue and brand advocacy. Tim also uses these skills to keep clients and the firm apprised of latest developments in business and government.
As a web developer and communications manager, Tim is charged with keeping the firm’s communications capabilities current with emerging technologies in areas of artificial intelligence, graphic design, social media analytics, video production, and cross-platform web integrations. Tim and his team also manage a suite of news monitoring services to closely monitor a broad range of breaking developments in subject areas critical to the interests of our clients and the firm.
In the editorial realm, Tim works with clients to help maintain their corporate identity’s voice in areas of social media communications. Tim also works closely with CEO, Diane Cahill to develop, maintain, and direct Cahill’s external communications and corporate identity.
Having previously spent nearly six years as Media Specialist for a regional government relations firm, Tim employed in-house video production, website development, and social media management to create cross-platform media campaigns. Through these means, Tim has successfully advocated for small businesses, non-profit organizations, and public policy initiatives before the New York State Legislature, New York City Council, local governments, and the press.
Before his government relations career, Tim became a self-taught freelance WordPress web designer. Tim developed websites for on-air personalities, bestselling authors, and small businesses.
Before Tim’s development as a web practitioner, Tim was a veteran writer and producer for broadcast networks and syndicated television. Producer credits include CNBC, Court TV, and the syndicated talk show Geraldo. In the trenches of television production, Tim learned the importance of preparation, anticipating pitfalls, and coordinating as a team member, with the priority of always putting the team and the product first.
At Cahill Strategies, Tim follows a servant-leader philosophy by assuming responsibility to his team members for their success. Through mentoring and sharing practical skills, Tim works to develop effective team members as future leaders, making their success the measure of his own.
