NYC DOB: Multiple Non‑Major Jobs Can Continue Past January 1, 2026
Construction superintendents who hold multiple non‑major building jobs as of December 31, 2025, will be allowed to continue with those jobs past January 1, 2026.
Construction superintendents who hold multiple non‑major building jobs as of December 31, 2025, will be allowed to continue with those jobs past January 1, 2026.
Construction Superintendents (CS) can request to oversee multiple jobsites simultaneously on the same lot/adjoining lots. A CS can oversee up to three job sites under one license.
Site Safety Managers, Site Safety Coordinators, and Construction Superintendents are required to report the unlicensed operation of articulating boom cranes, mini cranes, and rotating telehandlers.
Beginning July 15, 2022, site safety plans can be submitted before the job is approved and are no longer required for subsequent filings in DOB NOW.

As of June 1, 2022, per Local Law 149 of 2021, no individual may be designated as the primary construction superintendent for more than five jobs
