Cahill Strategies’ client Luv Michael celebrates the grand opening of their new commercial kitchen and learning center in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City.

When non-profit granola maker Luv Michael came to us in 2017, we knew we were getting involved with something very special. With our background in the autism space and existing clients like Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America, we understood the cause and the special needs education landscape in government but the retail healthy-snack-food angle was a new frontier for us.

For those not familiar, Luv Michael is a non profit organization that trains young adults with autism how to join the workforce and become employees. Luv Michael’s plan goes beyond the training required to manufacture their product by taking a holistic approach to help these young people learn to work just about anywhere.

The great people at Luv Michael – Founders Dr. Lisa Liberatore, Dr. Dimitri Kessaris, and the incredible special education and kitchen staff all have the right recipe for a brand that succeeds in retail and proves itself in special education. Our job is to find them funds through grants and government programs while creating their message and ways to get it out to the public.

So far, through our work, we’ve procured $250,000 from the New York State Assembly, thanks to Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, a tireless champion of educational causes. We’ve also opened up new fundraising methods like text-to-donate and new ways to communicate their message through video production and social media management and content creation.  With video, we’ve documented special occasions such as their professional photo shoot at their temporary Long Island City Kitchen and their expansion project with East End Disabilities and the Greek Orthodox Church of Southampton.

Last week, Luv Michael opened their flagship retail, commercial kitchen and learning space in the heart of New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood. Here, Luv Michael will significantly expand their workforce, production output, and their always-evolving educational curriculum. We couldn’t possibly be more proud of how far they’ve come where they’re going.

We feel truly blessed for the opportunity to work with this great company and look forward to their vital and bright future.
