Diane Cahill – Founder and CEO
Diane Cahill is a highly experienced strategist in government relations and communications, with expertise across various sectors including business and industry, education, construction, and healthcare. She has an extensive background working with clients in both the private and public sectors, collaborating with various levels of business and government. At Cahill Strategies, Diane leads a team of government relations and communications professionals.
Diane began her career at two major law firms in the Long Island region, where she developed strong skills in strategizing, problem-solving, and navigating the complexities of business and government. She then transitioned to the labor movement, where she focused on combining government relations and communications to support workforce development, education, and assistance for incumbent and dislocated workers. Diane established a Workforce Development Center and served as Executive Director for the Long Island Region, in addition to serving on various boards related to workforce development and education.
For more than two decades, Diane has been a lobbyist and advocate for education and healthcare, with a particular focus on children and adolescents with special needs and their families. Her work in the field of autism as an outreach coordinator and community liaison in the New York region has earned her the respect of the healthcare, education, and special needs communities. Diane actively supports increased funding for research, access to programs and services, and quality healthcare. She played a key role in passing landmark autism insurance reform legislation and companion legislation for BCBA Licensure in New York State.
In 2016, Diane founded Cahill Strategies, LLC, bringing together a team of experienced and dedicated professionals to address client needs across all practice areas. Her extensive network of relationships with elected officials and business leaders has enabled her and Cahill Strategies to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients, particularly in the New York construction industry.
