7/21 DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS ADVISES PROPERTY OWNERS, CONTRACTORS, & CRANE OPERATORS TO TAKE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES DURING HIGH WINDS AND THUNDERSTORMS

The New York City area may experience severe weather including thunderstorms, high heat and potential wind gusts of up to 40 MPH starting today, Thursday, July 21st, and continuing through the weekend. Accordingly, DOB is reminding all builders, contractors, crane operators, and property owners to secure their construction sites, buildings, and equipment.

7/13: Updates to Site Safety Plan Submissions, Construction Superintendent Job Limitations, and Site Safety Release and Sidewalk Shed Removal Requests

Beginning July 15, 2022, site safety plans can be submitted before the job is approved and are no longer required for subsequent filings in DOB NOW.

7/8: NYCDOB Final Rules Regarding Site Safety Managers, Site Safety Coordinators and Construction Superintendents
