NYC DOB has released a bulletin clarifying the 10’ horizonal span measurement in Section 3307.6.4.4, Item 7 of the 2022 New York City Building Code.
Section 3307.6.4.4, Item 7 of the 2022 New York City Building Code requires “a horizontal span of at least 10 feet (3048 mm), as measured down the length of the sidewalk, walkway, or pathway” to be provided between vertical members of certain sidewalk sheds. This bulletin provides guidance concerning this measurement.
